According to Manitoba radio station CJOB 68, Canadian comedian and actor Leslie Nielsen passed away today from complications due to pneumonia in a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Perhaps best known for his roles in The Naked Gun, Airplane! and Creepshow, Leslie starred in over fifty movies and many more television shows.

Here’s a statement from his agent;
“We are sadden by the passing of beloved actor Leslie Nielsen, probably best remembered as Lt. Frank Drebin in THE NAKED GUN series of pictures, but who enjoyed a more than 60 year career in motion pictures and television.”
