After Kristen Bell signed on to star in ‘Dance Of The Mirlitons’ last spring, the movie came to a stand-still in its development/pre-production stages. Now the dance film is back on the fast track as Chloe Moretz, Jackie Earle Haley and ‘Brothers’ actress Bailee Madison have all signed on to star alongside Bell, Cinemablend.com is reporting.
The film follows Madison, played by Madison, a ballerina with a crazy stage mother, portrayed by Bell. Madison is upstaged by her rival, played by Moretz, whose break-out role was in last spring’s hit action film ‘Kick-Ass.’ Earle Haley, who also rose to fame last spring as Freddie Krueger in the ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ remake, will be portraying the girls’ sadistic dance instructor.
Evan Greenberg is set to direct the film, which is being described as ‘Swan Lake’ with children. Once ‘Dance Of The Mirlitons’ gets its necessary funding, it will begin shooting next year.
