Cory Monteith, who plays dim-witted jock Finn on ‘Glee,’ is up for a role in a new Fox 2000 workplace comedy, Cinemablend.com is reporting. However, no official details about the movie have been released yet.

While Monteith is busy shooting the hit FOX show and touring with the musical national tour, the actor is Fox 2000’s new go-to guy. He recently filmed the forthcoming ‘Monte Carlo’ with Leighton Meester and Selena Gomez for the studio. Fox 2000 is happy to cast Monteith in both teen-friendly roles, which he is currently known for, and older roles, as he is actually 28 in real life.

Monteith’s movie career is also rumored to be skyrocketing, as ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy said some students will be graduating in 2012. The actor is one of the students rumored to be written off after season 3, so he wants to take on more movie roles before that happens.
