Nicollette Sheridan has dropped some of her abuse accusations from her lawsuit against ABC in relation to her firing, RadarOnline.com is reporting. She removed her claims of physical injury and emotional distress, and therefore won’t have to undergo a physical and psychiatric evaluation.
The television actress sued her former employers, including the show’s creator, March Cherry; Touchstone Television Productions; ABC Studios; and ABC Entertainment; earlier this year for $20 million, claiming she was assaulted. Sheridan also listed battery, emotional distress, gender violence and wrongful termination in the lawsuit.
Sheridan said she dropped the accusations, which she is maintaining are still true, to simplify the case. The defense agreed to the dismissal, as the lawsuit said Cherry physically assaulted Sheridan on September 24, 2008 after she questioned him about a script.
