Our favorite horror news site Dread Central is reporting that the initial test screenings of Wes Craven’s “Scream 4″ will begin in Pittsburgh this Thursday and to top it all off, they have posted the films official synopsis!

Synopsis: Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

The upcoming horror film “Scream 4″ from writer Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries) by director Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Cursed, Red Eye) stars Courteney Cox (Cougar Town, Scrubs), Neve Campbell (The Simpsons, Vivaldi, Owl Song), David Arquette (Pushing Daisies, Hamlet 2, Conception) and produced by Bob and Harvey Weinstein (Halloween III, Inglourious Basterds, Piranha 3-D).
