Today is the day Lady Gaga has been tweeting about; today is the day her music video for her anthem “Born This Way” premieres.

The video, directed by Nick Knight, will premiere on MTV at 5/4c on “The Seven”. According to MTV, choreographer Laurieanne Gibson has stated that the music video is “life-changing” and that fans can expect “the highest level of execution in vocal music art and dance.”

Hollywoodlife has reported that, according to one of their sources, the video is supposed to be a love letter to the homosexual community and that Gaga will also address the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy she spoke out against at many events, including MTV award shows.

It has also been reported that several allusions to Lady Gaga’s male alter-ego Jo Calderone (she posed as her alter-ego in Vogue Hommes Japan). She is also reported to be wearing Thierry Mugler designs in the video.

Lady Gaga has been on the receiving end of some flack ever since the song “Born This Way” debuted. Quite a few sites, including AOL Popeater and The Daily Beast, have written about how similar the song sounds to Madonna’s “Express Yourself”. The Madonna comparisons got even more heated when Gaga performed the song with her hair styled similar to Madonna’s “Blond Ambition” look.
