Even the show had critical acclaim and, as The Hollywood Reporter writes, “heavy internal support”, FX has decided to cancel the show “Lights Out” after only one season. The show’s highest point as far as audience turnout was 1.5 million viewers during the pilot. Afterwards, however, the ratings just kept sliding downhill. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the news is far from shocking, seeing how open John Langraf, president FX was to talking about his disappointment. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in early March, Langraf said that the ratings problem with both this show and the recently cancelled “Terriers” caused him great pain.
