FX has renewed its hit series ‘Justified’ for a third season, tvguide.com is reporting. ‘Justified,’ which is based on the popular character Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens from Elmore Leonard’s novels Pronto and Riding the Rap, was met with critical acclaim after it debuted in March 2010. The drama series, which stars Timothy Olyphant as Raylan, had the network’s second-highest series premiere ever. Executive producer Mike Fleiss will be honored with the Reality Rocks Humanitarian Award on Saturday, April 9 at the first annual Reality Rocks Expo. Jack Osbourne will present him with the award, which honors a person who both makes significant contributions to the reality television genre and strives to better society through humanitarian endeavors. Fleiss is the founder of Next Entertainment, and has created and executive produced such shows as ‘The Bachelor,’ ‘The Bacheloreete’ and ‘Bachelor Pad.’ He will also be rewarded for his work with “Bachelor Gives Back,” which supports nonprofit organizations around the world. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who rose to fame penning the ‘Twilight Saga’ movies, has now signed onto write another adaptation of a young-adult novel, Pamela Sargent’sEarthseed, thehollywoodreporter.com has confirmed. ‘Earthseed’ will launch the film department of Rosenberg’s production company, Tall Girls Prods. Paramount Film Group president Adam Goodman approached Rosenberg, who will also produce the movie, with the idea to adapt Earthseed, and he will oversee the project.
