‘The Lovely Bones’ actress Saoirse Ronan has been cast as the title role in Relativity’s upcoming film ‘The Brothers Grimm: Snow White,’ Deadline.com is reporting. The movie, which is being helmed by ‘The Cell’ director Tarsem Singh and will be an adult telling of the fairy tale, is currently set for a June 29, 2012 release. The news comes after ‘The Social Network’s Armie Hammer closed a deal to play Prince Andrew Alcott, and Julia Roberts was cast as the evil queen. Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks will make his first appearance on prime-time network television in over 25 years when he guest stars on the hit NBC sitcom ’30 Rock,’ TVLine.com is reporting. Hanks made the announcement on March 25 when he tweeted the confirmed casting. Neither Hanks or NBC have released official details on what his role will be, or what his episode will be about. Hanks’ last network television role was a 1983 multi-episode guest-starring arc on another hit NBC sitcom, ‘Family Ties,’ where he played Uncle Ned. Tribeca Film Festival Announces Online Screenings

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) has announced the launch of its Online Film Festival, which allow domestic audiences to watch feature and short films for free on the Internet. In conjunction with founding partner American Express, TFF will also allow worldwide audiences to talk to filmmakers and industry experts. The Online Film Festival, which will coincide with the TFF from April 20 to May 1, will offer such experiences as the Festival Streaming Room, Live From…, Tribeca Q&A, Filmmaker Feed and the Future of Film blog.
