Rock and choir are two words not typically placed side by side. After hearing the sounds of Scala, rock choir should be said more often.

The Belgian singing group includes over 200 women between the ages of 16 and 26 who are led by the classically trained Kolacny brothers, Steven and Stijn. The rock choir has become an international phenomenon and is brining their tunes to America with their self-titled U.S. debut.

Listeners can preview the album’s tracks via a widget. Versions of Radiohead’s “Creep,” the Foo Fighter’s “Everlong” and U2’s “With or Without You” can be heard on the widget. Fans can also see the band’s video for their take on the Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody.” Oh and it might be helpful to add that Scala’s rendition of “Creep” was featured in The Social Network. Does that ring a bell?
