The independent action-fantasy-horror movie ‘Fading of the Cries’ is set to be released in late May or early June, the movie’s distributor, Eammon Films, has announced. The movie is the debut film of screenwriter and director Brian A. Metcalf, and stars such actors as Brad Dourif, Thomas Ian Niholas, Julia Whelan, Jessica Morris and Jordan Matthews.

‘Fading of the Cries’ follows a young man who uses a deadly sword to save a teenage girl named Sarah from a malevolent evil spirit. While the two search for a necklace that belonged to Sarah’s uncle, they run from countless demonic creatures who chase them through the streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels of their town.

Metcalf is being recognized for including more than 1,100 special effects in ‘Fading of the Cries,’ which is considered to be an epic feat for an independent film. Some of the special effects include digital doubles, CG blood and digital environments.
