Gwyneth Paltrow called her grandmother “a real c**t” and claimed her grandmother hated her on the April 25 episode of ‘Chelsea Lately, the Huffington Post is reporting. The Oscar winner added that her grandmother tried to poison her mother, fellow actress Blythe Danner, against her, “but it didn’t work because I have a great mother.”

Paltrow then went on to say that her grandmother must not have been very happy, and must have had a lot of pain, “because she was mean as hell.” The actress went on the tirade after the show’s host, Chelsea Handler, called her grandmother a b**ch.

The insults came as Paltrow was promoting her new cookbook, My Father’s Daughter. She said she wrote the book because her daughter convinced her to start eating healthy again.
