Dean Koontz’s 1985 mystery-suspense novel Twilight Eyes may be adapted by Starz as its first limited series, Deadline is reporting. The news comes after Chris Albrecht became the cable network’s CEO last year, and said the channel was going to start focusing on mini and limited series. The novel follows psychic Slim MacKenzie as he uses his gifts, Twilight Eyes, to hunt Goblins. The monsters are dangerous because they’re able to mimic humans. The limited series is reportedly in high development at Starz, even though Koontz has stayed away from television adaptations of his books over the last decade. Tribeca Film Festival Announces Award Winners

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) has announced the winners in this year’s competition categories. Several new awards were given this year, including Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay in the narrative competition and Best Editing in the documentary competition. Returning awards were also given, including the Best New Director for narrative and documentary films. Here’s some interesting news: according to The Los Angeles Times, Twentieth Century Fox is developing a new “Zorro” film that will take the character out of his historical Mexico or California setting called “Zorro Reborn”. “Zorro Reborn” will have the character living in the future. But not any future–he’ll be living in a desolate, dystopian future in which he’ll be the lone vigilante fueled by revenge in western story that has tinges of both “No Country for Old Men” and Sergio Leone films.
