Paramount released the theatrical trailer for the third installment of the sci-fi/action series based on the Hasbro toy line, “Transformers: Dark of The Moon” today. In this trailer, we get a better idea of the story and the action of this film. And boy, is this trailer thrilling! Optimus Prime and the gang are back and they have taken the fight to protect Earth from the evil Decepticons to the big city of Chicago. After a few questionable promotional materials, 20th Century FOX has released the first theatrical trailer for “X-Men: First Class”, the prequel to the popular movie series based on the popular comic book series. The new film will take place in the 1960s as Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) assemble an elite team of misunderstood mutants while they found a school for gifted youth. Will this trailer receive a similar backlash towards aforementioned promotional materials or will it get praised by comic book geeks alike? You be the judge. New “Sherlock” news! On April 26, Steven Moffat, one of the co-creators and writers of the series, has taken to twitpic to post a picture of the front door of 221 B Baker Street. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the R.L. Stine book “It’s the First Day of School…Forever” has been optioned by the Gotham Group to be developed into a family adventure film. In an interview with MTV at the Tribeca Film Festival, Denis Leary has provided a bit of a clue to how the film “Amazing Spider-Man” will end. When asked about if the set pictures released back in the December, which showed Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) at what appeared to be a police funeral, indicated anything about the ending, Leary, who plays Gwen’s father Captain Stacy, said he wasn’t allowed to say anything about the what happens in the ending of the film, but he did say that the scene shown in the set photos does take place at the end of the film. One of the most anticipated movies released this summer, “Green Lantern”, is looking more and more cosmic! This new banner released by Warner Bros gives comic book fans and moviegoers a look at the entire Green Lantern Corps. Rio‘s certainly had a nice run, but it looks as though its control over the domestic box office is about to come to a screeching halt. We’ve got four new big releases hitting theaters this weekend, one of which is poised to open in over 3,500 theaters, Fast Five. The franchise began its run with a nice $40.1 million start while the second film boosted that number to $50 million. However, the third only managed to pull in $24 million its first weekend out, but the fourth demolished its predecessors debuting with an astonishing $71 million. Alex Pettyfer, who rose to fame this year in the teen movies ‘I Am Number Four’ and ‘Beastly,’ slammed the Hollywood lifestyle in a recent interview to VMAN magazine, UsMagazine is reporting.
