Lindsay Lohan is expected to plead no contest to the misdemeanor theft charge against her over the reported $2,500 necklace she stole from a jewelry store in January, TMZ is reporting. The actress told Jay Leno on ‘The Tonight Show’ that she wants to accept responsibility for her actions and move on.
Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, will report to Judge Stephanie Sautner as early as next week to enter the plea. The actress has already been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for violating her probation. While Holley hasn’t publicly commented on the sentencing, she reportedly doesn’t believe the judge will add additional jail time for the theft charge. However, L.A. County spokesperson Steve Whitmore told TMZ that Lohan should only serve about three weeks of her 120 day sentence anyway.
