Before Johnny Depp was a movie star, there was Johnny Depp: The Musician. Depp is an avid guitar player and has played slide guitar on Oasis’s “Fade Out”, a song from their 1997 album “Be Here Now”. He also started a music career before becoming a big screen success.
According to CinemaBlend, Depp met up with Aerosmith lead singer and “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler during the premiere of Depp’s new film, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” last Saturday. The meet-up led Depp to talk up the idea of entering into the music world again.
“We’ve been hanging out here and there,” he said about his friendship with Tyler. “He’s someone I’ve admired greatly for such a long time. The idea of writing songs with him is a dream come true.”
The idea of Tyler and Depp working on songs together and creating an album is interesting, to say the least. I suppose they should get while the getting is good, seeing how Tyler’s career has re-surged; he’s even got a song out right now.
