Kim Cattrall is enjoying life without being attached to the ‘Sex and the City’ series and movies, E! Online is reporting. The actress told the cable network’s website that “I’m having such a good time being footloose and fancy free and not having to chick in and say ‘Is it OK if I do this or do that?’”
The news comes after Cattrall’s ‘Sex and the City’ co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, publicly discussed the possibility of a second sequel, following the original movie in 2008 and the first sequel in 2010. Parker told MTV News that “I think there is one more small, important story to tell.” But Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones on the HBO series from 1998 to 2004 and in both film adaptations, said she hasn’t heard anything about another sequel. She added “I hear more prequel than sequel.”
But Cattrall, whose most recent theatrical movie role was in this year’s ‘Meet Veronica Velour,’ is taking tips from Samantha. She said “I’m dating, getting out there. It’s feeling like you’re 14 again, which you kind of like when you’re 54.”
