Casting news has been in full gear on “The Hobbit” and Peter Jackson has been just wonderful announcing this news on Facebook. I firmly recommend you friend him or become a fan of him on the social media network. I reported, Stephen Fry has joined the cast, along with Benedict Cumberbatch.

In an update, Peter Jackson announced that he is glad to welcome back Orlando Bloom to the cast of “The Hobbit”. Orlando Bloom played the iconic Legolos, the bad-ass Elf of Middle Earth. I am excited to see Orlando Bloom in an action, fantasy movie again. I believe the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series was the last fantasy film he was in.

From Peter Jackson’s Facebook Update:

Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I’m excited to announce today that we’ll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn’t! I guess that’s why he makes such a wonderful elf.

What are your thoughts on Orlando Bloom dawning the Elf costume again?
