Actress Shannon Elizabeth, who played the former exchange student Nadia in American Pie, has officially signed on to return to her hot girl roots in the American Reunion sequel! At first mention the thought of a reunion seemed like a bad idea, but now that the entire cast has decided to climb on board the comedy franchise, with a script from Harold and Kumar writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, things are looking up! The duo will also be directing the 2012 release.
Returning cast members include actor Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, party girl Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, and Jennifer Coolidge. 30 Rock actress Katrina Bowden is also a new addition to the storyline. Bowden will play Klein’s on screen girlfriend in American Reunion. Filming has already kicked off in Atlanta, with a release date scheduled for April 6th of next year. The plot will follow the former high school students, and friends, as they reunite ten years later.
Shannon Elizabeth’s more notable acting roles since appearing the the last American Pie installment back in 2001 include That 70’s Show as Ashton Kutcher’s pregnant girlfriend Brooke, the TV series Cuts, and the movie Love Actually.
