From director Troy Nixey and producer Guillermo del Toro, a new movie trailer for ‘Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark’ has been released. Featuring Katie Holmes, who is catching a lot of positive attention for her film choice this time around, and Guy Pearce, the teaser clip is eerie and promising! Revamped into a big screen production from a 1973 TV movie, Don’t Be Afraid follows Holmes in the role of Kim, the on screen girlfriend of Pearce, and new mom to his daughter, played by Bailee Madison. Together the family of three moves into a mansion where they aren’t alone!
The old house holds creatures in the basement, ones that want to claim the young daughter as one of their own. It may look like a mundane horror plot at first glance, but this is a del Toro production after all! Hopefully the Hobbit writer doesn’t pull an M. Night on us! From the look of the trailer ‘Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark’ should have movie goers leaping off their seats! Check it out for yourself below!
