Jeff Bridges Replaces Zach Galifanakis in R.I.P.D.

Jeff Bridges has officially replaced Zach Galifianakis in the upcoming film ‘R.I.P.D.,’ Reelzchannel is reporting. The Academy Award-winning actor was in negotiations for a month to appear alongside Ryan Reynolds as an officer in the Rest in Peace Department (R.I.P.D.) after the ‘Hangover Part II’ actor dropped out of the film in the beginning of April 2011. ‘R.I.P.D.,’ which is based on the Dark Horse comic book of the same name, will be helmed by ‘RED’ director Robert Schwentke. Reynolds will portray the recently deceased Nick Cruz, while Bridges will play his partner, who has been dead since the 1800s. There’s no official word yet how closely the script, which…

Paget Brewster Returning to Criminal Minds

Paget Brewster will reprise her role of Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss for the upcoming seventh season of ‘Criminal Minds,’ Deadline is reporting. Emily, who replaced actress Lola Glaudini’s Elle Greenaway in the second season, reportedly died this year. She was replaced by new series regular FBI Cadet Agent-turned-Special Agent Ashley Seaver, played by Rachel Nichols. As a result, the ‘Conan the Barbarian’ star won’t be returning to the police procedural show next season. The news comes after CBS and ‘Criminal Minds’ producer ABC Studios made a deal with Brewster to appear in fewer episodes during the sixth season. Daily Shock: New York City Man Threatens to Bomb Station for Showing Two and a Half Men Reruns

Bronx resident Freddy Caldwell was arrested on May 27, 2011 after he threatened to blow up the station of the New York City CW affiliate, WPIX-11, for playing reruns of the hit CBS show ‘Two and a Half Men,’ the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. He called the station on May 11 and May 23, saying he would bomb the headquarters if they didn’t stop airing syndicated reruns of the sitcom. New York City police easily traced the calls to Caldwell’s Bronx home. He was subsequently charged with falsely reporting an incident and aggravated harassment.
