The Beatles Anthology Box Set was officially released on iTunes on June 14, The entire box set has fully been remastered by the dedicated team of engineers at EMI Music’s Abbey Road Studios responsible for remastering The Beatles’ original UK studio albums. The Box set includes Anthology volumes 1-3 and and exclusive iTunes LP. There also is an exclusive 23-track ‘Anthology Highlights’ collection of standout tracks from each volume.
Originally released in 2-CD volumes in 1995 and 1996, Anthology is a collection of rare and previously unreleased Beatles recordings including studio outtakes and alternate versions. There are also two singles, “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” from ‘Anthology Vol. 1’ and ‘Anthology Vol. 2, which are completed tracks by George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr from 1977 demos recorded by John Lennon.
