The official site for the Marvel/Paramount film “Captain America: The First Avenger” is now up and running! The site, captainamerica.marvel.com, is very slick and engrossing, similar to how the site for the 2009 “Star Trek” reboot was. Also similar to the “Star Trek” site are the types of immersing experiences you can have once on the site. The intro to the “Captain America” website is a small full-screen video of how Captain America came to be and once inside the site, there is a link to “character experiences”, which will be coming shortly.

The gallery on the site has a lot of new stills from the film, some of which are below this post.

“Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, a soldier who becomes a part of a secret government experiment to create super-soldiers. The experiment turns Rogers into a super-powered human who later becomes the emblem of America. As Captain America, Rogers defends his country from the likes of the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving). Also starring Stanley Tucci, Tommy Lee Jones, Richard Armitage, Dominic Cooper, Hayley Atwell, Natalie Dormer, and Toby Jones, “Captain America: The First Avenger” comes out in theaters nationwide July 22. You can learn more about “Captain America” at its official Facebook page.
