Paramount Pictures has teamed up with Yahoo!Movies to present online viewers a live stream of the U.S. premiere of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” in New York City. The livestream of the red carpet event will occur June 28 at 5:30 pm EST at Yahoo!Movies’ “Transfomers” livestream page. Along with watching the live coverage, fans will also be able to interact with each other through social media. After watching the premiere, fans will be able to go to participating theaters and watch the film in 3D at 9 pm local time on June 28. The film will open everywhere at midnight, June 29.

If you happen to miss the event, no worries–Yahoo! will have highlights from the red carpet event on the site the following day.

Here’s the official synopsis of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”:

TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON is directed by Michael Bay, written by Ehren Kruger and produced by Don Murphy & Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce. The executive producers are Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, Julie White with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand. It will be released by Paramount Pictures worldwide on June 29th.
