Hopefully, we’re getting to the end of Sheen-gate now. The Hollywood Reporter has an article outline how Charlie Sheen’s character might be written out of the show. According to their article, Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, will die in the season premiere this September.

Killing the character by having him drive off a cliff is one of the ways “Men” co-creator Chuck Lorre and other producers are thinking about dealing with the character. According to TMZ, by killing the character, this could make a return visit by Charlie Sheen impossible.

The other problem, how to introduce Ashton Kutcher into the cast, is also being thought over, but hopefully his entrance won’t be as dramatic as Charlie Harper’s supposed exit. In any case, TMZ’s sources state that the “Men” script hasn’t been finalized yet.

Charlie Sheen was fired from the show after calling Lorre a “maggot” as well as saying Lorre and the exects at CBS and Warner TV “Nazis”, among other things. He then went on a dramatic spree of Twitter promotions along with creating “Sheen’s Korner”, going on his “Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option” tour, and even helping out in tornado-ravaged Alabama (something, as a native Alabamian, I’m still surprised about).

What do you think about Charlie Harper being killed off? If you had the chance to write him out of the show, how would you do it?

  1. That would be kind of extreme  Is this supposed to be Lorre’s revenge after Sheen trashed him?  Seems like Charlie’s ghost is already haunting him.

  2. 2 & 1/2 men is a 1 joke show, I watch only to see Jake growing up.  IMHO, it should have been cancelled 2 years ago, & yes, I may watch to see how they get rid of Charlie & bring on Ashton, but, IMHO, I’d rather watch Alan & Jake.

  4. No … I would not want to see Charlie Sheen killed off the show.  It might be fun to have him come back after a period of time.  The guy is nuts … but I did like him best on the show.!

  5. I think him & Rose should run off together because after all she is married to Mr. Mannequinn…..Kutchers character should be his long lost son of brouhaha Alan’s exes sister whom she hide from him on purpose.. Come onto scene as Alan & the cast are all standing at the airport shaking their heads in disbelief that Rose & Charlie have left…come on we’ve seen ALL of these characters on the show it would be believable..
Kutcher’s character, of course is in motion sent by his mother to get his clutches on  Charlie’s estate. ( thinking that there’s lots of dough but finds out that ther’s just the house on the beach because as you guessed Charlie fooled everyone thinking he had lots of cash when it was Rose giving him his spending money as gifts of her Love..

  7. Why would Lorre be so spiteful? No need for that. Just have him travel to the Andes or something and get him lost. That way if Sheen and Lorre reconcile they just gotta miraculously find them, but they better do it before the show jumps the shark.

  8. If I were to permanently eliminate Charlie Sheen’s character (which I believe is a mistake), I would have him (ahem) love himself to death by a bevy of party girls with him at the same time, or a succession of too many beautiful companions in one night (to celebrate or commiserate over something).  Perhaps the last  attending lady to leave (a young lass) could call for help saying something like “He’s not moving anymore . . . I think”.  Just imagine the funeral scene, where John Cryer could say something like “He went out doing what he liked doing best:  going in”; or comments about whether it was fitting to have the mortician embalm Charlie standing at attention, so to speak for all eternity–Charlie’s final salute to himself and all he held dear, as it were.  Just ideas . . . .
