Producer/writer/actor Will Reiser will reteam with longtime collaborators and filmmakers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Jonathan Levine to develop a comedy film called “Jamaica.” The idea for the film, which will be made through Mandate Pictures, came from his real life experiences much like “50/50”; in this film, Reiser is going to base the plot around a vacation he took to Jamaica with his grandmother when he was 14.

“This is a story that I’ve long wanted to tell,” said Reiser. “It’s something of a passion project for me, and I couldn’t be more excited to have found it a home at Mandate.”

“We feel privileged to have another opportunity to partner with all of these super talented guys on this hilarious idea,” Nathan Kahane, one of the executive producers of Mandate Pictures said. “Will is an exceptional writer with so many amusing life experiences to pull from and he has a unique instinct to bring out tender moments in comical situations.”

Aside from Rogen, the film will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anjelica Huston.

“Jamaica” is the second collaboration between Reiser, Rogen and Goldberg, the first being “50/50.”
