Fans of the primetime soap opera “Dallas” can either breathe a sigh of relief or a sigh of sadness; TNT has greenlit a reboot of the popular cult classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This version of “Dallas” will star original “Dallas” stars Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and “J.R.” himself, Larry Hagman. The show will also star Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, and Brenda Strong.

TNT has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which is slated to premiere in summer 2012. The network will also show viewers a sneak peek of “Dallas” on Monday during the season premieres of “The Closer,” which starts at 9 p.m. ET/PT and “Rizzoli & Isles,” which airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

TNT is also unveiling a website dedicated to the new DALLAS series today. At the website, dallastnt.com, fans will be able to view an online photo gallery that features a first look into the show’s new and returning cast. Fans will also be able to watch sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes videos. The website will be periodically updated with new materials.
