Brooke Mueller is reportedly flying today to a treatment facility in Cancun that specializes in prescribing the hallucinogen Ibogaine, TMZ is reporting. The drug, which is illegal in the United States, is extracted from an iboga plant and allegedly stops alcohol, cocaine, methadone and heroin addictions.
Mueller is planning on staying in the rehab for seven days to undergo an extreme treatment. She said she’s confident that it will stop her addictions because the Ibogaine will rewire her brain.
The news of Mueller’s reported stay come after she completed a 45-day outpatient rehab program on July 1. She choose to partake in the outpatient program so that she could spend time with Bob and Max, her two-year-old twin sons with her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen. But she was seen carrying what appeared to be makeshift drug paraphernalia and trying to pawn jewelry in the weeks since she was released.
Mueller was also involved in an incident on July 15 when she was escorted off a Cancun-bound plane leaving from LAX. Reports claim that she was removed because she was being rude to the airline staff. However, she insists that she left because she wasn’t feeling well. Mueller didn’t report whether or not she received medical attention since then.
