It was a stylish day on the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” set Thursday. The “Nelda” dress from the Chris Benz Resort, was worn by the First Lady for her appearance on the show in Fayetteville, North Carolina The episode she was present for will air in October and will focus on redesigning and expanding a North Carolina community resource center for homeless female veterans.

As a Seattle native, Parsons School of Design graduate and 2004 winner of the CFDA Emerging Designer Award, Chris Benz is exploring the carefree, sunny attitude to life in his latest collection:

The CHRIS BENZ collection is a reflection of Chris’ Seattle upbringing and his ability to transform his influences to create a unique American style. His collection reflects the ease and carefree attitude one can expect from a true American Sportswear collection, which is made in the USA.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is a show hosted by Ty Pennington that follows a crew of home builders and designers as they remake a needy family’s home fit to their specific needs. The show airs every Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
