The official dates for the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival have been confirmed for April 18-April 29, and the screenings will be once again be shown in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood for the 11th year. The Festival has also announced a Call for Submissions for the documentary and narrative features, as well as the short film entries.

Filmmakers can officially begin submitting their movies on Monday, September 19, 2011. The early deadline for features and shorts is Friday, October 28, 2011, while the official deadline is Friday, December 2, 2011. The late deadline, which is available to feature length films only, is Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Starting on September 19, submission forms and complete eligibility guidelines for the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival can be found at the festival’s official website. The Tribeca Film Institute (TFI), the year-long nonprofit arts organization, has announced that submissions are now being accepted for Tribeca All Access, TFI Documentary Fund, Latin America Media Arts Fund and the TFI Sloan Filmmaker Fund. The deadline to submit entries is Monday, October 10, 2011, and questions about TFI submissions can be e-mailed to institute@tribecafilminstitute.org. Submission forms and complete information for the 2012 TFI programs can be found at the Institute’s official website.
