Director Richard Gabai’s upcoming supernatural horror thriller ‘InSight’ is set to be theatrically released on September 2, 2011 by Check Entertainment Distribution. The film, which was shot in Los Angeles’ Boyle Heights district, follows Kaitlyn, played by Natalie Zea, an ER nurse who becomes determined to find who stabbed young Allison to death. Kaitlyn is accidentally electrocuted by the defibrillator that was being used to save Allison, and the nurse soon starts experiences the victim’s memories.

Kaitlyn tells her family, friends and police what happened, but no one believes her. So she decides to solve the case herself, despite the increasing intensity of the visions. Eventually Kaitlyn teams up with detective Peter Rafferty, played by Sean Patrick Flanery, and they start searching Allison’s past to discover the truth about her murder.

‘InSight,’ which was written by Aaron Ginsburg and Wade McIntyre, is the first release for Check Entertainment Distribution. The studio was founded by and for independent filmmakers, and strives to put them back in movie theaters.

The psychological thriller features Angeline-Rose Troy in her debut role as Allison. The movie, which was produced by John Constantine and Richard Lott, also stars Adam Baldwin, Christopher Lloyd, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Juliet Landau and Veronica Cartwright.
