Matthew Fox was arrested on August 29, 2011 for allegedly punching a 29-year-old female Cleveland driver of a party bus, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The ‘Lost’ actor is believed to have punched the driver, Heather Bormann, in the chest and stomach two days before his arrest.
Fox tried to get a ride back to his hotel on the private bus Bormann was driving. She blocked the entrance and informed him he couldn’t board, as it was already rented out. After Fox punched her, Bormann defended herself by punching the actor in the mouth. She believed she may have broken her hand in the process, and said she would be seeking medical attention if necessary.
The actor, who is currently filming ‘World War Z’ with Brad Pit and ‘I, Alex Cross,’ which are both set to hit theaters in 2012, was released to a friend and brought back to his Cleveland hotel. Fox’s rep has yet to comment on the arrest.
However, Bormann, who has yet to press charges against Fox, has publicly commented on the attack. “This was my self-defense. This was the only way I could protect myself-from a man beating up on a woman.”
