The body of Michael Showers, who appeared on the hit HBO drama ‘Treme,’ has been found floating in the Mississippi River, the Huffington Post is reporting. He was discovered around 11:45 am on August 24, 2011 by the captain of the steamboat Natchez near New Orleans’ French Quarter, Harbor Police are confirming. The 45-year-old actor was known for playing a police officer, Captain John Guidry, on ‘Treme,’ which premiered in Spring 2010 and has aired two seasons. The drama is set in the New Orleans neighborhood of Treme in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
