UK directing-writing duo DarkFibre has launched its film campaign for its on-line short ‘Unwatchable,’ which chronicles the atrocities being committed in the Congo over blood minerals. The short highlights the link between the minerals imported from the Congo that are not only used in electronics, but also in conjunction with weapons of war in the country. ‘Unwatchable’ also shows the crimes committed by armed gangs in the Congo. The short follows a Congoleseoman, Masika, whose family is brutalized by armed militia. TV Land has announced that they have acquired the broadcasting rights to “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” according to Deadline. The show, which aired from 1961 to 1966 and starred Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore, will premiere on October 3, fifty years to the day after it premiered on CBS.
