Seasoned actor Jack Nicholson’s Los Angeles home reportedly went up in flames this past weekend on Friday night. Located on Woodrow Wilson drive, Nicholson’s two-story residence was quiet a scene with an estimated eighty-five firefighters battling the blaze at around 7:55pm, Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department informed the media.

Working on the fire for 90 minutes in dark conditions, two ladder men where said to have been injured, while the others tried to maintain the flames, keeping them away from the woods surrounding the actor’s home, formally referred to as “Bad Boys Drive”. “It was tricky, just because of where it was, on a hillside, dark, windy roads, a lot of brush,” Spence reported.

Currently used as rental property, Jack Nicholson’s co-star of Two Jakes, William Tynan, was home and sleeping at the time. Tynan reportedly did make it out of the house in time and is safe, but lost all of his belongings to the flames. He is now staying with his long time friend Nicholson. As for the exact cause of the fire, an investigation is still underway. Per City News Service, “chemicals in a garage might have helped spread the fire.” Nicholson has owned the home since the early 70′s.
