I think this qualifies as a Daily Shock because the last thing one would expect rapper Snoop Dogg to do is to be involved in a family show.

According to Deadline, Snoop Dogg is in talks to star in and produce a multi-camera family sitcom. Snoop Dogg has partnered with sitcom vet Don Reo (“My Wife and Kids”) for the project and the project has been set up at Warner Bros. TV. The project is currently be shopped around to various networks.

Snoop Dogg was involved with a familial show when he had his E! reality series “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood,” which showed Snoop Dogg as a husband and father to his children. What’s ironic is that Snoop Dogg was just announced snagging the title role of “The Legend of Fillmore Slim,” a biopic about the blues singer and guitarist as well as a San Fransisco pimp known as “The West Coast Godfather of the Game” and “The Pope of Pimping.”

What do you think about this? How do you think a family sitcom starring Snoop Dogg will work out? Will you give the show a chance if and when the show comes to television? Give us your opinions in the comments section below.
