Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde has been granted a restraining order against an obsessed fan who was stalking him and his family, TMZ is reporting. Wylde obtained the restraining order in L.A. County Superior Court after his stalker, his 20-year-old neighbor John Radich, left a sacrificial offering on his doorstep. Rabich must stay at least 50 yards away from Wylde and his family for the next three years.
Wylde testified that a shirtless Radich knocked on his door one day, wanting to talk. The guitarist said he sent Radich home, but he came back the next day with such objects as a black and yellow “Bullseye” guitar covered in Sharpie marker, Post It notes and what appeared to be red splatter. Radich also brought a visor, a red and blue flannel shirt, a tire and a boxcutter.
After Wylde discovered the sacrifice, he called police and said he believed his neighbor is mentally ill. Police put Radich in a holding cell for 72 hours, so that he could undergo mental evaluations.
While testifying, Wylde also claimed that Radich broke into his home studio, and stated “I must assert my dominance!” Wylde’s wife, Barbaranne, also said their neighbor has been obsessed with her husband forever, and even called him “The Master.” The restraining order comes after she said she was afraid to live next to Radich.
