Kenan Thompson, known for “Saturday Night Live” and “Kenan and Kel,” has gotten engaged to model Christina Evangeline, according to US Weekly.

A representative for Thompson confirmed the news to the magazine and according to The Dirty, the wedding will take place November 11, 2011.

According to the NY Daily Post, Evangeline wrote on her twitter page, “[Kenan]‘s my best friend…I could only be so lucky.

Thompson got his start on Nickelodeon in 1994, acting on the show “All That,” a type of “SNL”-style show aimed at pre-teens and teenagers. He later moved from that show to the co-host and star in “Kenan and Kel” along with fellow “All That” castmember and friend Kel Mitchell in 1996. “Kenan and Kel,” another one of Nickelodeon’s most popular shows, ended in 2000. Thompson also starred in the movie “Good Burger” with Mitchell as well as “D2: The Mighty Ducks,” “Heavyweights,” “Fat Albert,” “Snakes on a Plane” and “The Smurfs.”
