Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has adopted a little girl, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Talking to People Magazine, the forty-six year old adopted months ago after longing to be a mom for a while. “This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed.” Davis’ new daughter, Gemma Rose Davis, was united with her famous mom, and global ambassador for Oxfam, through a domestic adoption.
Aside from adopting a daughter the actress is also busy with a few new projects. Fans can see Davis in her latest movie role due out on February 10th 2012. The actress is on board ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ from director Brad Peyton. The movie, that also stars Josh Hutcherson, Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine, follows the character “Sean Anderson, who partners with his mom’s boyfriend on a mission to find his grandfather, who is thought to be missing on a mythical island.”
Per Gawker, Davis just cut a deal with Lifetime as well. The new mom will star in the movie ‘Of Two Minds’ where she will play a woman whose sister (Tammy Blanchard) suffers from schizophrenia.
