Dear John actor Channing Tatum is making headlines for a Chicago bar fight over the weekend. According to TMZ, Tatum was hanging out with his wife and actress Jenna Dewan this past Friday night when a “big fight” erupted. With rumors that Tatum threw a punch at a patron after the fight broke out, and some unclear video footage, as well as tweets, the only truth that can be confirmed from the scuffle was that Tatum was escorted away by security after the altercation broke out.

Several unknown sources connected with the 21 Jump Street have since come forward to state that Channing Tatum did not get involved with the fight. Meanwhile, Fox Chicago has stated that Tatum was in Chicago for his wife Jenna Dewan, who is filming The Playboy club, a series NBC just canceled last week. Whatever the case, it looks like Channing was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sounds like a bad night for celebrity couple, but they did however make time for a fan earlier in the evening, posing for a picture.

Chicago certainly had plenty going on this weekend. Other news coming out of the Windy City includes the passing of Weezer bassist Mikey Welsh, who was found dead at the age of 40, as well as Jennifer Hudson, who at the last minute canceled her performance at the Michael Jackson Tribute Show in Wales.
