In the immediate moments following Shia LaBeouf’s fight on a Vancouver sidewalk last week, the ‘Transformers’ star reportedly threatened to pull a knife on the man who tried to calm him down, TMZ is reporting. Shea Carter, the man who restrained LaBeouf after the fight, said the actor never actually flashed a knife, however.
Carter also said he noticed LaBeouf inside the Cinema Public House bar before the fight began. The actor was reportedly drunk and swaying into other patrons, including one man who told him “Hey man, watch out.”
LaBeouf reportedly responded by saying “Oh yea? Or what? What are you going to do about it?” The two then went outside, and the man then fought the actor to the ground.
Carter, who a bar regular, then tried to stop LaBeouf from going back inside, but he became aggressive. That’s when he said “Well, what if I grabbed my knife on you?” Carter then grabbed LaBeouf to protect himself in case the actor did try to pull a knife on him.
LaBeouf eventually walked away from the scene, and Carter went back inside the bar. But the actor reportedly appeared outside a window and made a throat-slashing gesture at Carter before leaving for the night. LaBeouf’s reps haven’t yet commented on the fight.
