While Kim Kardashian is known for her television career, she’s not known necessarily for acting. Well, that’s about to change if Tyler Perry has anything to do with it.

According to Deadline, Kardashian has been cast to co-star in Tyler Perry’s “The Marriage Counselor,” the next film Perry will direct for Lionsgate. Based on his stage play of the same name, “The Marriage Counselor” will start filming in Atlanta October 26.

The film stars Jurnee Smollett as an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who gives others advice, but doesn’t understand how to spice up her own marriage. She eventually cheats on her husband with a client and later realizes she’s made a huge error in judgment. Kardashian will play Ava, a co-worker who gives Judith a makeover and self-confidence.

This isn’t the first film Kardashian has played in–she was in “Deep in the Valley” and “Disaster Movie.” However, it goes without saying that her role in this Tyler Perry film is going to be her most serious role yet.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and Tyler Perry fans sound off! What do you think about Kardashian co-starring in the film? How well do you think she’ll do? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
