Mostly everyone knows the enigmatic “Zombie Boy” fashion model Rick Genest, who was featured in Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” video and has recently modeled for Thierry Mugler Men’s Fall 2011 runway. But no one really knows what he looked like before he tattooed his face to become a skeleton zombie.
Thanks to an experiment done by Dermablend, you can get an idea of what Genest looked like before the tattoo visits. According to StyleList, Genest tested the Dermablend concealer products in their “Go Beyond The Cover” campaign. Over the course of one day and four tubes of Dermablend Perofessional Leg and Body Tattoo Primer and Leg and Body Cover, three makeup artists transformed Genest from “Zombie Boy” to a man with dewy skin. Honestly–you would never know he was tatted up if you didn’t know it. Look below the post to see the video, which is shocking simply in how average Genest looks with un-tattooed skin. At any rate, this test goes to show the power of Dermablend. Great marketing strategy.
What do you think about the video? What do you think about the un-tattoed Genest versus the tattoed version that we’ve all come to know and love? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
