U.S. Horse Meat Inspection Ban To Be Lifted

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Talk about a Daily Shock! According to The Huffington Post, America’s five-year-old ban on horse meat will be lifted. Also scary is that, according to activists, horse slaughterhouses could be running in a month. You might be wondering how this ban got passed. According to The Huffington Post, Congress lifted the ban on slaughtering horses in a spending bill President Barack Obama signed into law November 18. The bill is designed to keep the government up and running until mid-December. The bill didn’t set aside any money to pay for the inspections of horse meat, and those against lifting the ban say inspection for horse meat could cost taxpayers between…

Universal has hired ‘Training Day’ writer David Ayer to pen the upcoming ‘Scarface’ film, Collider is reporting. Happy Birthday Mark Twain From Google Doodle

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

In honor of Mark Twain’s 176th birthday, Google has posted a panoramic painted Doodle, featuring the world of Tom Sawyer. The Doodle, which replaces the search engine’s official logo on its homepage, includes the writer’s legendary character persuading his friends to whitewash the Google logo. The Doodle also features other characters from Twain’s most memorable books, ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ and ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.’ The illustration’s folksy style also pays tribute to the author’s illustrator, True Williams. Twain was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens on November 30, 1835 in Florida, Missouri. His family then moved to the nearby Hannibal, which served as the model setting where many of…

Young Adult Red Band Clip Leaves Reaser Speechless And Theron Full Of Expletives

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

We’ve got a bit of a problem; I love this clip, but it somewhat spoils one of the best scenes in Young Adult. In fact, I don’t know if I even want to describe the clip here. Let’s just leave it as a “watch at your own risk” piece and move onto a full film synopsis. Charlize Theron is Mavis Gary, a former high school hottie who moved to the “Mini Apple,” Minneapolis, and became the ghostwriter of a popular young adult novel series. After a failed marriage and getting assigned to pen the final installment of the now-failing Waverly Prep collection, Mavis opts to return to her glory days…

Valora And Creative Alliances Have A Prize For You

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

With Paramore’s recent Farro brothers loss, the timing is ideal for the Los Angele rock band, Valora, to step up to the plate. So, move aside Hailey Williams because Syd Duran is about to hit a home run. Rounded out by Ryan Villa, Taelor Duran, Jared Baez, Kasim Somers and Kenneth Benson, Valora released the music video for their single, “I Waited For You”, back in October. The video featured Duran planting a nice punch on her cheating boyfriend’s face. Sorry for ruining the ending, but it should be no surprise that Duran is a badass. Continuing with the “I Waited For You” spirit, Valora has teamed up with Creative…
