Killer Films and Before The Door Pictures are jointly releasing director Victor Quinaz’s sophomore project, the romance film ‘Imperial Palace.’ Quinaz, who wrote and will be helming the film, is currently in the casting process for ‘Imperial Palace,’ which will begin shooting in spring 2012.

The love story takes place six hours after Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf. ‘Imperial Palace’ follows a jaded manager of a Biloxi casino as he juggles the chaos that arises when FEMA sets up headquarters at his establishment. The chaos brings in an old flame, and an ensuing love triangle develops.

Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler of Killer Films will produce ‘Imperial Palace,’ along with Before The Door’s Zachary Quinto, Neal Dodson and Corey Moosa. Quinto has said Before The Door is thrilled to be working with Quinaz on his second feature. “He’s a truly original talent, and ‘Imperial Palace’ is a perfect example of his unique, commercial voice,” the actor added.
