Lindsay Lohan was released from the Century Regional Detention facility in Lynwood, California, less than five hours after she reported to jail, FOX News is reporting. The ‘Mean Girls’ actress was sentenced to a 30-day sentence for violating her probation.
Lohan was booked into the facility at 8:50 pm on November 6, 2011, and returned to her Venice home by 2 am the following morning. She was released early from her sentence, due to the chronic overcrowding in the California prison system.
After being sentenced for failing to fulfill court mandated community service, which stemmed from earlier arrests for drunk driving and theft, Lohan had until November 9 to report to the women’s jail. Lohan was given an additional week to turn herself in, as she had to complete a nude photo shoot for Playboy magazine. If she didn’t complete the shoot, she would have been held in breach of contract by the magazine, which reportedly paid her $1 million for the spread. The pictorial is scheduled to appear in the January 2012 issue.
The judge in Lohan’s case said she had to perform all of her community service at the Los Angeles county morgue, or risk serving an additional 270 days in jail. This was the actress’ fifth jail sentence since being arrested for drunken driving twice in 2007.
