From both Sundance Film Festival and SXSW Film Festivals, the thriller “Bellflower” from first time director Evan Glodell, is now available on both DVD and Blu-Ray. Making his debut, Glodell didn’t just work behind the camera, he also stars in the movie. NBC Miami reports that Glodell worked eight years on the film and invented his own camera.

The high adrenaline flick follows “best friends Woodrow and Aiden,” who “spend all of their free time building MAD MAX-inspired flamethrowers and muscle cars in preparation for a global apocalypse. But when Woodrow meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love, he and Aiden quickly integrate into a new group of friends, setting off on a journey of love and hate, betrayal, infidelity, and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies.”

Bellflower, that has also been compared to the likes of Fight Club, features Evan Glodell co-starring alongside actor Tyler Dawson (The Red Veil short) and newbie actress Jessie Wiseman, who according to several reviews really hits her stride as the young woman who turns the head of Woodrow.
