The new ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ boycott started by Colorado resident Cyndy Snider is now garnering extra support online, AOL TV is reporting. The petition went viral just at E! is pushing the second season premiere of the second spin-off of the hit reality show, ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York.’

Snider started the petition two days after Kardashian filed for divorce from her second husband, NBA player Kris Humphries. In the petition, Snider wrote to E! that she wants the network to find other shows to air, in lieu of the Kardashian series. More than 165,000 people have signed the petition to get the show off the air, and 77,000 have recommended it to their Facebook friends.

The petition also states that Snider believes the entire Kardashian franchise is a scam. She added that Kim is just out to earn money, and will do anything to make more. “We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption,” the petition also states. Snider added that “it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them.”

Snider’s website, Boycott Kim, has crashed several times, due to high traffic. While her petition has garnered a surge in signatures, she said she has a lot of ground to cover, as the Kardashians are involved in multiple business deals.
