Dynasty Electric Presents A New Wave Of Electronic Music

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Classifying electronic music amongst the “founding father” genres vividly shows the journey music has taken over the decades. Since the Beatles days of brilliant music simplicity, artists have expanded on the Fab Four’s template by incorporating heavily infused and hard driven tempos. You can say music may have taken a turn for the worse since the glorious 60s days, but it is hard to not succumb to the head nodding ways of electronic music. Dynasty Electric is a group that will allow you to bob away without feeling that Beatles guilt. The outfit, which consists of multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer, Seth Misterka and lead singer Jenny Electrik, dropped their third…

Interview: The Limousines Discuss 'Internet Killed The Video Star'

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Sometimes with bands it takes one song to seal an eternity deal with a fan. In order for a tune to qualify for this level of security, it must be both lyrically and instrumentally captivating. This task is much more easily said than done. You must also throw memorable into the mix because how many songs have you come across that exude talent, but are far from catchy? Take for example Beyonce’s album, “4″. Sorry Beyonce, but it is true. Out of the 12 track album, how many songs can you name? This law of gaining the undying fan applies to the indie-eletronica band, The Limousines, which consist of multi-instrumentalist…

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life To Life’ won’t air new episodes online after the latter wraps its run on ABC in January 2012, Deadline is reporting. Prospect Park, the company that signed a deal with ABC in July 2011 to broadcast the canceled series on the Internet, has decided not to create an online soap network anchored by the two shows. The decision comes after Prospect Park’s Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz tried to secure financial backing for their Online TV Network. They also tried to lock in the actors and writers from the departing ABC soaps, and sign agreements with the Hollywood unions. Ultimately, doing all three close…

Ali Abdullah Saleh

Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Resign After 33 Years of Rule

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Yemen president Ali Abdullah Saleh has agreed to resign after months of demonstrations against his 33-year rule, the Associated Press is reporting. The move has pleased the country’s U.S. and Gulf allies, who worried its collapsing security was allowing al-Qaida to step up its operations. Saleh is the fourth leader to step down from power in the aftermath of the Arab Spring uprisings. The longtime dictators in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya have also turned over their power. However, Saleh’s deal grants him immunity from prosecution, and he isn’t explicitly banned from Yemen’s political life. Saleh’s resignation will surely lead to a power struggle, as his son and nephew are among…
