Total Recall actor Colin Farrell spent Christmas Day giving gifts to sick children at the Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital this past holiday season. According to Gossip Cop, Colin kept his plans to spend the day at the hospital quiet. Not only was his rep unaware, but the paparazzi and the press as well, allowing the performer to spend the day focusing on the kids who were said to have been thrilled about his visit.
Relatives and parents at the hospital tweeted while Farrell was on the grounds about the thirty-five year old dad bringing joy to the sick kids. “Just chatting with #ColinFarrell who is in with presents for the kids here in #Crumlin. No tv/media, a gentleman and genuine.” Other tweets included comments about Colin’s great attitude. “Just met Colin Farrell he came to meet the kids in crumlin hospital really nice man. fair play to him putting a smile on the childrens faces.”
The Irish actor is currently filming on the set of director Len Wiseman’s Total Recall in the role of Hauser alongside Bokeem Woodbine and Bryan Cranston. He is also slated to appear in the 2012 movie Seven Pyschopaths from Martin McDonagh. The comedy flick also stars Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, and follows “a screenwriter, who gets caught up in his pal’s dog-kidnapping plot.”
